P. Jerome Richey

Prior to joining CONSOL Energy on March 1, 2005, Mr. Richey, 59, was a shareholder with the Pittsburgh law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll. During his career, he held several high-level positions at the firm including in-house ethics counsel and co- chair of the firm's compensation committee. In 2004 and 2005, Richey was named one of the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, an honor received by only the top 5 percent of Pennsylvania lawyers. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Law School, where he also received his undergraduate degree. He is a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, a member of the Allegheny County and American Bar associations, and a former adjunct professor of law at the University of Pittsburgh Law School. He conceived of, initiated, and edited BNA's "Covenants Not to Compete" treatise. He is a frequent speaker on ethics matters.
